Sabbath Work Kindling
Before Shabbath sundown, it is wise to lay in your warming fire. Arrange all the kindling, wad-up paper; ignite the fire with a barbeque fire starter.
During the night and day, keep adding fuel to the existing flames.
If however the fire goes out, and there is no automatic electric heat-feed, is it wrong (sin) to reignite the warming fire?
A Messianic leader (and many Rabbi) say to not relight the fire.
We should not always live by exceptions to the rule, generally. But consider a black-out, or a time before the discovery of electricity and automatic devices. During a severe storm, whether it be in SiberiYah, in the Yukon, or any cold winter city like Chicago, would the church assume the congregation should shiver (and/or starve to death) instead of warming the brethrens’ spirits a little? Maybe catch a little pneumonia and die?
Certain situations and logical reasoning call for extra ordinary measures. We do not “break the rule” so that we show passion on our friends. Nonetheless we take the Scriptures to bear on our proper judgment. Personally, I would feed the hungry and clothe the naked. Burn the coal! And I ask Almighty YaHVaH to forgive us if we transgress His law in this matter of life and death. Have compassion on one another. But remember, try not to make everything an OXEN IN THE DITCH.
Ezekiel 20:16 For they rejected My laws, did not walk in My rulings and profaned My Sabbath—for their heart went after their idols.
:18 “I said to their children in the wilderness, ‘Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, do not keep their ordinances, do not defile yourselves with their idols'.
Matt. 16:26 "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" Get set-free today by the washing of the water by the WORD of YaHVaH.
Matthew 6:21-24 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
If therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
KEEPING, RESTING, A PURE CONVOCATION ON THE SABBATH.
Isaiah 55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
Mathew 12:7 If you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you wouldn’t have condemned the innocent.
Luke 6:2 But some of the Pharisees said, “Why are you doing what is not permitted on Shabbat?”
Then answering them, YaHosha Messiah said, “Haven’t you read what David did when he was hungry, and those with him?
How he entered into the house of YaH, took and ate the showbread which only the kohanim are permitted to eat, and even gave it to those with him?”
Messiah said to them, “The Son of Man is Master of Shabbat.” TLV
Deut_25:4; 1Tim_5:18 For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox while he is threshing,” and, “The worker is worthy of his wage.”
Exodus 35:2-3 These are the words YaHVaH commanded, that you should do them. Six days shall work be done, but on the Seventh Day there shall be to you a separated day, a sabbath of rest to YaHVaH (and the added law whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death. You shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the Sabbath Day.
Numbers/Bemidbar 15:27-41 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered TIMBER/sticks upon the Sabbath day. 33 And they that found him gathering LOGS/Timber/sticks H6086 brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto the entire congregation. 34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him. 35 And YaHVaH said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: All the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp. 36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as YaHVaH commanded Moses. (Death penalty, the added law due to transgressions.)
I’ve always heard this passage to seem as, “How trivial and absurd! Here the “Jewish” law told them to kill a man by stoning even if he were just gathering some sticks for kindling a fire for the poor little old lady.
On the contrary, there was no poor little old lady dying of cold, nor were there any sticks. Even so, “kindling a fire on the Sabbath” is forbidden by the Creator of the Universe (not by authority of rabbinical law). Then, consider all other Scriptures (above) relating to our behavior.
Although technically, kindling and tending a fire often takes
effort and coaxing. If it were deliberate willful sin, how much does it
take to impale YaHOSHA afresh on the stake? Only one sin.
Hebrews/Ibrim 13:8 "YaHOSHA Messiah is the same, yesterday, today
and forever". His standard never changes but man changes with his weak
fickle soul. And more witnesses from the “New” Testament:
Hebrews/Ibrim 4 "There therefore remaineth a keeping of the Shabbat to the
people of YaHVaH."

I discovered the truth of the Word, the true declaration of YaHVaH.
Mathew 12:7 If you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’
you wouldn’t have condemned the innocent.
Peace, good health to you as you live in the kingdom of YaHVaH.
